Questions
How does the consent notice work?
Before a recording starts, Transcript Audio reminds you to tell everyone and gives you announce text you can copy into the meeting chat with one click. On Premium, each meeting gets a consent log saved alongside it. Org-wide consent policies are coming with Teams.
Do I still have to tell people I am recording?
Yes. You are responsible for telling everyone in the meeting and getting consent where the law requires it. Transcript Audio helps you do it consistently, but it does not notify participants for you. Our recording consent guide explains the basics.
Where are my recordings stored?
On your computer. When you use cloud transcription or AI summaries, the audio or transcript passes through our AI service to our AI processors and is then discarded. We never store your recordings, transcripts or notes. In privacy optimised mode nothing leaves your computer at all.
Do I need my own AI API keys?
No. AI transcription and summaries are included in every plan, so there is nothing extra to set up or pay for. Bringing your own key is coming soon as a separate option.
What is Questions as you go?
During a meeting you can ask about what has been said so far, such as "what did they say about the budget?" or "suggest a follow-up question", and answers appear in real time. The panel is hidden when you share your screen. It is included in every meeting on Premium, and in 1 meeting a month on Free.
What is privacy optimised mode?
A mode on every plan, Free included, where transcription and AI notes run entirely on your computer and nothing leaves it. It works offline. On older machines it is slower, and on-device models are less accurate than the best cloud models. You can optionally switch on a zero-data-retention cloud fallback.
Which meeting apps does it work with?
Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack huddles and other calls on your computer. No bot joins the meeting.
Who can buy it?
At launch Transcript Audio is sold to customers in the UK only, priced in pounds. If you are elsewhere, you can join the waitlist.

All future updates included, free. Every plan, including Free, gets every future update at no extra cost.
Is it available yet?
